Shavkat Rakhmonov aka The Nomad is the true phenom in the world of mixed martial arts. Soon he will be fighting again at the UFC event and hopefully he will get another impressive victory in his resume.
Today we are going to get back to the time when he was just 19 years old. By that time he already won everything at WMMAA amateur tournaments, having the titles of the national, Asian and world MMA champion. His transit from amateur to pro was successful as well: three victories in three pro fights, both by the stoppages in the first round. Methodical and highly efficient style of Shavkat was the problem that no one of the opponents could solve.
At M-1 Challenge 59 event that took place in July 3, 2015 his opponent was another promising prospect from Poland. 21-year old Michal Wiencek was the champion of the prestigious Berserkers Arena Grabd Prix. He made his M-1 debut against tough Rustam Gadzhiev at M-1 Challenge 56. Even fight went the whole distance, it was a back-and-forth battle, but Polish fighter forced his opponent to tap when only 30 seconds left in the third round. Now Michal had the new challenge in the form of the young and undefeated world amateur MMA champion.
